A short summer break for AnffAsino project
Posted on 1 August 2017.It's time for a short Summer break for AnffAsino, the most long-lasting donkey assisted therapy project held by our Rifugio.
Last Wednesday, the group of seven boys and girls with medium/severe mental disorders said goodbye to September to our gorgeous donkey therapists.
This break will allow humans and donkeys to recharge and start in Autumn with more energy.
Our donkey assisted therapy expert Laura tells more about AnffaAsino: "Among our projects, this one is characterized by a joyful mood, which benefits users, workers and donkeys. The group knows all the 12 donkey therapists very well and has learned how to take care of them properly, according to each one's attitude. The grils and boys involved consider donkeys as friends and part of their group, and it is not uncommon to witness some special moments when secrets are whispered into big donkey ears, sure that they will be well cared for".
"This weekly hour with donkeys mean a lot to the group" ends Laura. "They usually make activities indoors, so coming to our Rifugio is a chance to spend some time in the open-air, in an environment rich of interesting stimuli".
