Hoof care

Diseases of and problems with hooves are common amongst donkeys. Daily care and cleaning, as well as a balanced diet, will help avoid these problems.

Laminitis

Laminitis is a very common problem that can often go unrecognised unless very severe. It can seriously damage the structure of the hoof. There are many causes of laminitis: an unsuitable diet, obesity, trauma and overgrown hooves are amongst the most common.
