And the winner is... Quasar!

Finally the latest foal born at IRDA, Poldo and Silvia’s foal, has found his name: the winner of the contest to find it is Sabrina, and the name drawn at the end of our Grooming Day is Quasar, "the most luminous object in the universe"! And we wish little Quasar a bright future, just like his name.

150 people participate to the web contest, with many nice names. Choosing one would have been very difficult... so we asked a child to help us by drawing the winning proposal.

Now when you’ll come and visit him and the other 110 donkeys homed at IRDA at the moment, you will be able to call our beautiful foal by name and obviously to give him and Silvia a lot of well deserved cuddles.

And talking about cuddles... all our donkeys have been well pampered by the people who took part to our Grooming Day on the 27th of June 2010.

More than 400 participants, 0 to 90 years old, had the opportunity to know donkeys better, to learn how to brush and take care of them properly, and to have a close encounter with some of them (Dipsy, Daxi, Nina, Luca, Duchesse, Mishu, Freckles).
