A new life for Paolo and Zoe
Posted on 16 August 2017.Two more donkeys have joined our foster scheme last week and reached their new home: Paolo and Zoe. Maybe you know their stories already...
Paolo was was of the four survivor "eco-friendly lawnmowers", involved in a project which was meant to use donkeys instead of clippers to keep the grass low near the main roads of Treviso county.
We rescued him and his companions (one of them, Giorgina, was in foal) in 2015; for a year he has lived in Rufus stable, the area dedicated to young, healthy donkeys, where he met Zoe.
Zoe was born at our Rifugio from Parbat, one of the donkey we rescued during huge Colleferro's seizure. She has grown up friendly and serene, thanks to our cares and the company of her mother and other foals, all born from mares already in foal at the time of their arrival.
When Zoe was moved to Rufus Stable, she became friend with Paolo, so our Welfare officer decided to send them both to a new foster house.
Last week, they were moved to Liguria, where they found their human family and the lovely sorroundings you can see in the video below.
