Goodbye Cristina

Cristina is gone, this is the end we would never wished to tell you. Last Monday, while the veterinarian put that gentle soul to sleep, our caresses accompanied her towards a painless sleep, beyond that pain that in the last few weeks had not given her a moment of relief. She was 20 years old.

This family needs your help

Donkey Peppino, pony Rita and their son Scheggia are the latest attivals at our Rifugio.

They were seized in Remedello, Brescia County, after a report for mistreatment; for the next months they're going to stay here at our shelter in Sala Biellese, so that they can fully recover and, as far as the males concern, can be neutered and have a safe post-surgery recovery.

When our job to put them back in order will be over, they will reach their forever-home at Progetto Islander, a charity working for equine welfare we had already worked with in the past.
