The health crisis and its consequences on donkey welfare
Posted on 10 July 2020.Next Tuesday 14 July, at 10:00 am, The Donkey Sanctuary will participate to the meeting of the Intergroup of the European Parliament on the Welfare and Conservation of Animals.
The meeting, dedicated to the consequences of the Covid-19 emergency on the welfare of horses, is part of a wider cycle of meetings on the role of the Third Sector in the context of the economic and health crisis.
Barbara Massa, Regional Director of The Donkey Sanctuary, will give a speech on the challenges launched by Covid-19 to European NGOs dealing with equine welfare. The economic and health crisis we are experiencing is generating serious consequences for the welfare of all animals. The Donkey Sanctuary, which has always been at the forefront in the defence of donkeys, has seen in advance the risks associated with the unprecedented scenario that has radically changed global balances.
On 14 July we will bring our voice in Europe together with Pro Bono Economics and World Horse Welfare.
You can attend the Zoom meeting, which will be held online and in English, after your registration.
The complete program can be consulted on the Intergroup website.
