Ombra’s story

Ombra was rescued in Central Italy when she was only 6 months old, alongside her pregnant mother and other donkeys who were all destined for the Italian meat market. 

She loves food which means she is often on a diet. Ombra formed a strong friendship with Marisa, who accompanied her during an operation to remove a sarcoid on her chest.
