Il Rifugio degli Asinelli is a centre of excellence that offers professional care to hundreds of donkeys throughout Italy and neighbouring countries, offering free advice about donkey care and working to spread a culture of respect towards donkeys and all living beings.

How to donate your 5x1000

In the tax return form (730, CUD, UNICO) you will find the box for “Choice for the destination of 5x1000 of income tax”. 

Sign and enter the tax code of Il Rifugio degli Asinelli (02270470020) in the space dedicated to “Support for the third sector registered in the RUNTS, including social cooperatives as well as support for registered non-profit organizations”.

Remember:

• In your Tax Return, sign and write the tax code of Il Rifugio degli Asinelli: 02270470020
• The deadline for delivery of the precompiled 730 model is Tuesday 30 September 2025
• You can donate your 5x1000 even if you don’t have to file your Tax Return. To do this, just go to the post offices or to a CAF
• When making a donation or adopting a donkey, you can add your tax code and give your consent to transmit the data to the tax registry through our website.

Your 5x1000 to our sanctuary will turn into a real help for abused and abandoned donkeys.

• HEAL the physical and psychological wounds of donkeys and mules who are victims of mistreatment and abandonment
• NURTURE our resident herd every day with hay, feed and straw
• SAVE donkeys and mules who have been abused and mistreated by guaranteeing them care and love for the rest of their lives.

How your 5x1000 can be spent

• €17 could feed our donkeys with 17kg of carrots
• €30 could provide a veterinary visit and treatment for one of our donkeys
• €50 could provide 2 bags of specific feeding for donkeys suffering from respiratory problems.

5x1000 donation reporting

Below we report on the 5x1000 of each financial year, for transparency on the use of the funds received as well as to fulfil the legal obligations required. The proceeds were entirely spent on the care and well-being of the animals residing at the Foundation, the distribution of which is indicated in detail in the files attached below.
