Our Fostering Scheme
Our fosterers often tell us how fun and exciting it is to care for these fantastic animals in their home. And even for our donkeys, fostering is a great opportunity as they can enjoy the affection of a family.
We currently have over 40 donkeys living in foster homes throughout Central and Northern Italy. If you would like to join our Foster Scheme, please carefully read our terms and conditions first. Before making your decision to provide a home for donkeys, we suggest you discuss this with your equine veterinarian and contact a farrier in your area to ensure you can obtain their services. If you are finding it difficult to find a vet or farrier, please contact us and we will try to help you find a professional in your area.
Another important aspect to consider is the costs involved in caring for donkeys, including food, vaccinations, farrier visits and dental checks. A guide to the cost of keeping a donkey is available on our website. Donkeys are very sociable creatures and make fantastic companions. By giving two donkeys a loving, caring home we are sure you will be amply rewarded with their affection.
