Seizure in Alessandria, updates
Posted on 22 January 2019.Our appeal to find guardians for over forty donkeys under seizure in the province of Alessandria, Piedmont, has had an enormous resonance. In these days Fabrizio is contacting all the people who have given availability to welcome donkeys in the North-West of Italy: as written in all posts, it is essential that the custodians are located nearby Alessandria, not to add more stress to donkeys (we also remember that the transport costs are borne by those who will take care of the donkeys).
Within this week we hope to have a complete picture of the situation and, above all, to have secured a home to all the seized donkeys. We thank all the people who have given their willingness to accept the donkeys in their care; at the moment we ask you to suspend new phone calls.
For now there should be at least 20 donkeys settled, including the 5 in more serious conditions, which we will bring here to our Rifugio.
Yesterday, Monday, January 21, we returned to the farm of Alessandria where the donkeys are temporarily placed under seizure: in this video we have collected some images of our visit.
